On-Site Application Supervisor

Contract / Project-Based

Target Project States: New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Maine, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Georgia, South Carolina, and Virginia

Alpha Drones USA, Inc. is building a drone pilot placement and workforce platform that connects qualified drone professionals and field specialists with real commercial UAS opportunities across our growing fleet ecosystem. As both a drone fleet operator and a workforce partner, Alpha Drones supports client projects across agriculture and other commercial drone service areas, helping organizations access trained pilots, specialized equipment, licensed field support, and mission-ready drone operations.

Alpha Drones USA is currently seeking state-licensed or state-certified commercial pesticide applicators to support contract/project-based assignments with our agriculture fleet. This is an on-site application supervision role for qualified pesticide professionals who can support drone-based agricultural spraying operations.

This is not a drone pilot role. Candidates do not need to hold an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate or operate drones. Instead, selected applicators will be on site during assigned projects to supervise, support, and document pesticide application activities in accordance with applicable state law, product labels, environmental restrictions, and Alpha Drones USA operating procedures.

Assignments are based on project availability, applicator qualifications, state licensing, category eligibility, location, and client needs. This is a 1099 contractor role and does not provide guaranteed full-time hours.

Job Summary:

  • Serve as the on-site pesticide application supervisor for Alpha Drones USA agriculture fleet assignments
  • Supervise or support drone-based pesticide application activities in accordance with the applicator’s state license, certification category, project requirements, and applicable law
  • Be present on site during assigned aerial/drone spraying operations as required by project scope, state law, product labels, and Alpha Drones USA SOPs
  • Confirm that application activities align with approved product labels, rate requirements, site conditions, environmental restrictions, buffer requirements, and safety protocols
  • Support spray planning, application readiness, site review, weather condition review, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with Alpha Drones drone pilots, project managers, clients, landowners, growers, and other field personnel
  • Assist with or oversee pesticide handling, mixing, loading, use, and application-related procedures as permitted by law and project requirements
  • Maintain or support accurate pesticide application records, spray logs, product use documentation, and project reports
  • Identify and communicate any compliance, safety, environmental, site access, weather, drift, or label-related concerns before or during application activities
  • Follow all applicable federal, state, and local pesticide laws and regulations, Alpha Drones USA SOPs, product label requirements, environmental restrictions, and project-specific safety procedures
  • Work outdoors in active agricultural, right-of-way, turf, forestry, public health, mosquito/vector control, or related field environments
  • Travel regionally for project assignments; overnight travel and multi-day assignments may be required

Job Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must hold a current state pesticide applicator license, certification, or state-recognized equivalent in at least one target project state
  • Must have credentials in one or more relevant categories or state-equivalent categories, such as:
    • Agricultural pest control / agricultural plant or crop pest control
    • Aerial application, where applicable or required by the state
    • Right-of-way pest control
    • Turf, ornamental, or ornamental and turf pest control
    • Forest pest control
    • Public health, mosquito control, vector control, or related category
  • Must be able to provide copies of all current pesticide applicator licenses, certifications, categories, expiration dates, and state-issued credentials
  • Must have practical knowledge of pesticide product labels, application requirements, PPE, environmental restrictions, drift prevention, recordkeeping, and safe pesticide handling practices
  • Must be comfortable working alongside drone pilots and field teams during drone-based spraying operations
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to travel for regional assignments, including overnight and multi-day projects when required
  • Must be able to work outdoors in field conditions and variable weather
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. when supporting field operations, equipment handling, or site setup
  • Must be available for contract/project-based assignments based on project needs, location, licensing, qualifications, and scheduling availability
  • Must successfully complete Alpha Drones USA onboarding and project-specific training before assignment; onboarding and training are unpaid
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must submit a resume, references, and copies of all applicable state pesticide applicator licenses or certifications

FAA Part 107 certification is not required for this role. Candidates who also have drone experience or a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate are welcome to include that information, but this role is intended primarily for licensed pesticide applicators who can provide on-site application supervision and compliance support.

Licensing and Category Eligibility:

Because pesticide applicator licensing varies by state, candidates should clearly list each state where they are licensed or certified and each category or subcategory they hold.

Alpha Drones USA is especially interested in candidates with current credentials in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Maine, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Georgia, South Carolina, and Virginia.

Relevant categories may include agricultural pest control, aerial application, right-of-way pest control, turf or ornamental/turf pest control, forest pest control, public health, mosquito/vector control, or state-recognized equivalent categories. Final project eligibility will depend on the specific state, product, site, application type, supervision requirements, and client assignment.

Compensation and Assignment Details:

This is a 1099 contract/project-based role. Compensation is assignment-based, with day rates generally ranging from $200–$400 per day, depending on project type, location, licensing, qualifications, and assignment requirements.

Alpha Drones USA will reimburse approved travel, lodging, fuel, per diem, and other assignment-related expenses for eligible projects.

This is not a full-time guaranteed-hours position. Project placement depends on applicator availability, state licensing, category eligibility, project needs, client requirements, and assignment location.

To Apply:

Licensed pesticide applicators interested in supporting Alpha Drones USA agriculture fleet assignments should apply using the Apply Now link and submit the required documentation, including resume, references, and copies of all current state pesticide applicator licenses or certifications.

Applicants should include the state, license or certification number, category or subcategory, expiration date, and any relevant experience supervising or supporting agricultural, aerial, right-of-way, turf, forestry, mosquito/vector control, or related pesticide applications.
