Program Components
Phase 0: Information Session & Enrollment
- Attend a required live or virtual Information Session
- Learn program details with live Q&A opportunities
- Complete enrollment process and secure your place
- Receive access to preliminary learning materials
Phase 1: FAA Remote Pilot Certification Course
- Comprehensive preparation for the FAA Part 107 Knowledge Exam
- 4 weeks of training with ten online classroom sessions
- Self-study computer-based training software (included in program cost)
- In-depth study of airspace regulations, weather, flight operations, and safety
- Expert guidance on FAA application procedures after exam completion
Phase 2: Flight Training & Qualification
- Select your preferred sUAS/UAS from Alpha Drones USA fleet options
- Ground school in-class training sessions (4 hours)
- Available training locations: MMU; NYC; MSY; ECP; EWN; PHL
- Hands-on flight training (10 hours) with professional-grade commercial drones
- Equipment-specific operational training
- Learn service-specific applications (agriculture, cinematography, inspections, etc.)
- Performance evaluation and qualification assessment
Course Prerequisites
To participate in our program and obtain an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, applicants must:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Be able to read, write, and speak the English language
- Pass a background check (certain medical issues and criminal history may disqualify)
- Attend an information session prior to enrollment
PPE and Safety Equipment are provided for use during Phase 2, and must be returned. Upon hiring, uniform shirts, badges, and other gear will be available for purchase.
Pricing and payment:
We offer flexible payment options to make your training accessible:
- Option 1: Payment in full due at the end of Phase 0
- Option 2: $399 due at enrollment, balance of $3,600 due at the completion of Phase
- Grant Funding: Some states fund this program through the WIOA Grant
Alpha Drones USA is a grant-funded eligible training provider in several states. Partial refunds, minus any fees, may only be considered for medical or emergency reasons.

You’ll train on the same professional equipment used in commercial operations, including agricultural drones, cinematography platforms, and inspection-specific models.
How long does it take to complete the program?
Most students complete the full program in 6-8 weeks, depending on their schedule and pace of learning.
What's included in the program fee?
The $3,999 fee includes all training materials, exam preparation, hands-on flight instruction, and qualification assessment. The only additional cost is the FAA testing fee (approximately $175) paid directly to the testing center.
